At first I was not a fan of black and white photography, since nature and our surroundings are filled with such vibrant colors that I wanted to capture. This all changed as I began to understand the role that color plays in photography and how black and white play a crucial role in a photograph’s composition and perspective. I experimented with black and white for the first time in New York and since then I use it often when shooting film.
